Comparison of the Battles

Even though the Battles of Ridgefield and Saratoga were both in the Revolutionary War, they had both similarities and differences.

Battle of Ridgefield Battle of Saratoga

The Battle of Ridgefield lasted one day, April 27, 1777. The Battle of Saratoga lasted three months, but also took place in 1777. In the Battle of Ridgefield, General Wooster was killed, which was a blow to the colonists. In the Battle of Saratoga, 1000 soldiers died. In both cases, however, the Colonists were victorious against Britain.

Both battles were fought in the northeast section of what is now the United States. Benedict Arnold was involved in both battles.
