General John Burgoyne

General John Burgoyne was a general for the British Army in the Revolutionary War, who fought in The Battle of Saratoga. He was 55-years old when he fought in The Battle of Saratoga. Because of his attitude, he was not popular in upstate New York. One of his major accomplishments during the battle was when he captured Fort Ticonderoga. Although he worked very hard to lead the British to a victory, the Americans won. He is remembered to be one of the best generals in the battle and even considered to be the best.
