Glenn Miller
Glenn Miller was born in Clarinda, Iowa on March 1, 1904. He died in 1944. It is amazing that he died when he was 40 years old. Like Louis Armstrong he was also a bandleader. Miller formed his band in 1937. In his band he played the trombone which is a very hard instrument to play. When the year 1942 rolled along he decided to join the armed forces where he died. He died when his plane got lost on a flight between London and Paris. When he died in 1944 everyone was sorry to see him go and knew that the world had just lost a very talented musician.
