Meat, coffee, butter, and shoes were scarce, but there was one thing that wasn't. That one thing was jobs. Some movie stars in the 40's were Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, Frank Sinatra, Bette Davis, and more! Not many people know about music in the 40's, I hope you will learn that there were a lot of well-known things going on in the 40's, good or bad, peace or war. Music was used to inspire people at home as well as at war.
