Hello. Welcome to the part of our page in which we tell the year in sports. We will have information on all of the major sports such as college basketball(Men's and Women's), college football, NFL, NBA, MLB, and NASCAR. Okay let's get started.
     Well last year in college basketball for the second time in three years the Kentucky Wildcats beat the Utah Utes to win the National Championship. Although teams like North Carolina and Stanford fought hard in the Final Four they just couldn't come out with a victory. This year we look for the Duke Blue Devils to rise to the occasion. Although they could be challenged by teams like UConn, Auburn, Kentucky, Michigan State, and possibly North Carolina.
     The Bulls win!! The Bulls win!! That's all America heard last year as Michael Jordan rose to the occasion and hit a jumpshot with seconds to go to give the Bulls their sixth NBA Title and their second repeat three-peat. MJ shocked the world when he announced his retirement this fall right after the NBA got out of the lockout. A lot of people thought he would go seeings how Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and Phil Jackson all left. Don't expect Chicago to win it this year. They're rebuilding. It'll probably be between the Indiana Pacers and the Houston Rockets, L.A. Lakers, or the Utah Jazz.
     Yankees win 4-0! The New York Yankees won the Major League Baseball Championship last year. They set a record 114 wins in a regular season and ended up winning 124 wins for the regular and post-season! The Yankees will probably win the title again this year seeings how they've signed all of their stars back from last year except for David Wells who was delt to the Blue Jays in a three man deal for the Rocket Roger Clemens. The Rocket has more Cy Young award wins than anybody on the Yankee pitching staff so we look for them to repeat.
     The Volunteers win in the first national championship game ever! Last fall the Tennessee Volunteers won the national championship with high honors going an amazing 14-0! Led by quarterback Tee Martin, and wide receivers Pierless Price and Cedric Wilson. In the national championship game the Florida State Seminoles put up not so good of a fight and got hammered. This year we look for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida State Seminoles, and the Tennessee Volunteers to be contenders.
     John Elway has done it again! This year the Denver Broncos won their second NFL championship in two years. The year before they beat the Green Bay Packers but this year they played the Atlanta Falcons and just killed them. The team that didn't go that many people thought would go all the way was the Minnesota Vikings. They came up short in the NFC championship game against the Atlanta Falcons. This year they will be looking for revenge so we think it's Vikings, Packers, or the Denver Broncos.
     Jeff Gordon wins again! Yes, for the second time in a row Jeff Gordon won the NASCAR Winston Cup championship. Although drivers like Mark Martin and Dale Jarret came close they just fell a little short. Not many people like Jeff Gordon. I know I don't. Brad isn't much into racing so I think Mark Martin will win it this year.
