Ocean Importance

The ocean is important for many reasons. Some scientists have developed a way to purify the water for drinking. Others have discovered ways to make important medicine from the plants and animals that live there. In the future there may even be a cure for cancer under the great depths of water. Many of the fish in the ocean are used for food. People raise these fish in farms, others can go out and catch them, making a living as fishermen. The ocean also provides recreational activities for people on boats, jet skis, and cruises, not to mention many more other activities. Not only that, but people base their careers on oceans, like oceanography, drilling, and marine biologist.
