Tigers

Tigers are the largest member of the cat family. Tigers love to play in the water, in fact they are very strong swimmers. The stripes on the tiger's coat blend in with the sun shine and shadows of the forest.

Tigers can weigh up to 770 pounds and stand about 3 feet tall, and 10 feet long. The normal age of a tiger is 20 years. Tigers hunt and live on their own.

The normal tiger eats as much meat as it can when it kills a deer or any other animal it can get. It then hides the rest of the meat for another day.

Tigers live in southern Siberia, Southeast Russia and North Korea. Did you know that lions and tigers live in different parts of the world!

There are at least 350 Siberian Tigers left in the wild life. (That's not very many.)

Females have their cubs about every two or three years. Tiger cubs are born blind and the stripes on their body will get darker as they grow.
