About our Team

We started Thinkquest because of our teacher, Mrs. Twohy. We were six of the twelve students who were offered the chance to be in ThinkQuest. She gave us an option, but all twelve of us decided to do it. We've had a lot of fun doing this project and hope to have a lot of fun teaching Mrs. Twohy's 4th grade students next year.

Stephanie: My name is Stephanie. I love to work on this computer! I have one dog named Benny. I named him after my middle name which is close to Benny. I have braces and pierced ears. I have one sister named Franny. She is a normal sister, and very nice. I usually have a messy room! The best thing about being on a ThinkQuest team was learning HTML. It was fun, and when you had typed a whole table, it turned out great! The most challenging thing was making the links work and the graphics show up. If you just left out a quotation mark or a dot, it wouldn't work. I think this was really fun and it makes me proud to say that I built a web page.

Emily: The best thing that I liked was looking at my web page and knowing that I did it! I thought that collecting the information was the most challenging part. I think that success on a team depends on being nice, getting along, and not giving up.

Daniela: My name is Daniela. I live in California. My hobbies are sports and sewing. I speak most Hebrew, German, and Spanish. I have loved doing this ThinkQuest project. By doing this project I've learned a lot and I got to know my teammates and my teacher better, also. I used to think I wasn't that smart, but when I got chosen I felt that I was smart. Learning has been the best thing about being on a ThinkQuest Team. Learning the HTML language was the part I found to be the most challenging. I think other 4th graders would like this because I learned a lot and it was really fun!

Annie: The best thing for me about being on this team was learning all the neat stuff about Shakespeare. I think the hardest thing so far was at the beginning of the year when I had no clue what HTML even meant!

Matt: Working with a team and getting all the privileges to go on the computer was the best thing about being on a ThinkQuest team. I also like working on the computer and going onto AOL. The hardest part was putting in all the dashes and commas and breaks and all the little things that you have to put in to make things work. I would recommend this because it is very challenging, and if you like challenging things, it's great. It is also very fun working with other people on your team. I think the most important advice is that you have to be prepared and pick a good topic and start early and most of all, be prepared to put in lots of dashes!

Nora: I am nine years old and live in California. My favorite color is blue and I LOVE dogs! I also really like HTML. I think ThinkQuest was a lot of fun and I hope I do it again. I liked taking an idea, typing it, editing it, putting it on the Internet, and finally seeing it. I thought the most challenging part was finding information and then making it readable for other 4th through 6th graders. I would recommend ThinkQuest to other 4th graders because it was a challenging but fun project. I would advise that they should come as many times as they can to the meetings and work hard.
