T.V. Influences
How T.V. influences kids
T.V. is a major influence on American life. It effects how people spend their time and what they learn and how they learn. Some authorities think that T.V. has a greater influence on young people than adults. It takes time away from other things like reading, talking, social activities, and exercise.
T.V. influences what home viewers learn. It benefits by widening peoples experience. On the other hand, T.V. may also influence us with harmful impressions of the world.
There is little agreement about how T.V. influences young people. Parents have been concerned about the amount of T.V. young people are watching. Television studies say that a lot of T.V. watching goes with poor performance in school. These studies do not prove that watching T.V. actually causes poor performance in school.
Watching T.V. may be an activity that people who do poorly in school may prefer. Other studies show that T.V. violence encourages aggressive behavior.
