Brain-Mapping

Modern Technology has begun to bring new hope to millions of people effected by some brain related disorders. We really don’t know why the brain is so unique. Unlike the organs of our human body scientists can take clear pictures of the human brain. Scientists have pictures of millions and even trillions nerves and brain-cells and each with 10,000 connections. They now have more advancements and medical technology to see the brain. There is disorder in the brain which is called a cavernous angioma, but there is modern day technology and a scientific break-through which is brain mapping. Using high-tech devices and computers doctors are now able to take clear pictures of the brain and pinpointing the exact spot of the problem. Brain mapping gives a better way for doctors and surgeons a better way to perform brain surgery because it gives a good map of the human brain. But there can be a problem because as we get older our brain changes sizes. If you were to play piano a lot that section of your brain controls the parts of music that are in your brain. When doctors and Surgeons are performing surgery they usually ask the patient to touch each finger to the thumb. They also ask the patient to tap his/her fingers together. While patient is doing that the doctors and surgeons take dozens of pictures of the brain. They have the patient perform tasks because when the patient performs a task more blood flows from one part of the brain to the other which gives the doctors and surgeons more accurate readings on the brain. Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, and even some cancers have already made a huge difference just after a few months of surgery. Seizures were gone and life was back to normal. If you are a drug addict or an alcoholic brain mapping can show where abnormal things are happening in your brain. But there is still a lot to learn about the brain and brain mapping.
