Ever wonder what Chronic Pain is? Its actually not just one pain, but a lot of different pains, which they put in one category and call it Chronic Pain. A huge part of the category is Arthritis and Cancer. Some of the others are Headaches, Neuropathic Pain, Fibromyalgia, and neck and back pain. Arthritis
Did you know there are nearly 150 different types of arthritis? The most common arthritis is osteo-arthritis. Arthritis causes pain, agony, swelling, and are all difficult to treat. There is no cure for arthritis, but with some success it can be treated.
Headaches Headaches are usually caused by stress or pressure. These symptoms are probably warning you that something more severe is going to happen. The two main types of headaches are Vascular Headaches and Tension Headaches. Vascular Headaches Did you know that a migraine is one kind of Vascular Headache? You get a migraine when there's a change in the blood vessels in the face, head, and neck. These kinds of headaches are usually above or behind one of your eyes. Migraines also can make you have nausea and vomit. Another common Vascular Headache is a cluster headache. They are called cluster headaches, because you'll have them on and off again in a period of time. Then they will vanish for months before returning again. Cluster Headaches last for only about twenty minutes. Kids and adults can get Vascular Headaches. Vascular Headaches are much less common than tension headaches. Only about 15% of the population gets them. Tension Headaches Tension Headaches are the most common type of pain there is and nearly 50% of the population will suffer from this headache some point in their life. These types of headaches are caused by stress from our modern high tech lifestyles.
