We wanted our information to be recent, so we used more contemporary resources such as the internet. We also interviewed experts, evaluated buildings or places, and had expert guest speakers come to our class. Another thing we did was go on field trips. We went to a lot of different places such as construction sites, a recycling power plant, a boat tour of Waikiki, City Hall, the State Capitol, the Police Department and the Board of Water Supply. We were able to get first hand experience on what city building was like.

Guest speakers helped us with technical information.	This boat trip gave us another perspective.
