May 14, 1804 The Corps of Discovery sailed up the Missouri River

in a 55 foot Keelboat and 2 pirogues.

September,1804 The first time of a violent incident happened in

Pierre South Dakota

October , 1804 The  first winter is going to be spent at Fort Mandan in central North Dakota

Sacajawea and Charbonneau, join the the Corps Of  Discovery.

April 7,1805 The Lewis and Clark Expedition travels up the Missouri River for Fort Mandan.
April 27,1805 The Corps of Discovery is entering Montana, and passes the Milk River.
June 2, 1805 The Corps of Discovery, discovers the Mirias River were a canoe is left behind.
June 13, 1805 Lewis and a few other men go ahead and find Great Falls o f the missouri.                    
June 2-11,1805 Lewis and Clark expedition spend a lot of time deciding what river to follow

the Missouri or Marias

June 16,1805  Clark arrived at Great Falls with the boats and found the  very, very good

portage route around the falls

July 15, 1805 The Lewis and Clark  Expedition leaves "Canoe Camp" above Great Falls  and Heads up The missouri River.The Shoshone Indians start to appear.
