How to Study for a Test
There are a few ways to study for a test. We will show you a few different ways to study. Choose the way you feel comfortable with.
1. Look at the word, cover it up, then say the word out loud, like A-F-T-E-R. Say each letter separately.
2. Trace around the letters in the word.
3. Break the word you need to spell into smaller words.For example: gears: g-ears. You can find the word ears.
4. You can use a thing called mnemonics. Mnemonics is a kind of tool where you make up a word for each letter like,
E-ven
V-ery
E-ducated
R-obins
Y-awn
The phrase above is a mnemonic. A mnemonic can be silly, scary, strange, surprising, or anything else you can think of.
5. Have your parents give you practice tests.
6. You sing the letters of the word in
a tune you're familiar with or like.

7. Write the word over and over. (This one may be boring but it works well.)
8. Just look at the word
9. Listen to the pronunciation of the word.
10. Divide the word into syllables.
11. Say the letters of the word in order.
12. Study the hard parts of the words.
13. Use the word in a proper sentence.
