Wolves and Coyotes

Wolves and coyotes are mostly nocturnal and hunt alone or in packs. They hunt rodents, hare, and sometimes deer and cattle. They won't eat people because they are afraid of us.
Wolves and coyotes talk to each other with wimpers, growls, barks, and squeals. They howl to get the attention of the pack members far away. When they are together again, they howl in celebration.

Coyotes run through our yard almost every night. They sound like a huge litter of puppies! And it's funny, because we can hear them right there, but they always stay out of the light so we don't get to see them much.
