Scorpions

These exoskeletals have up to 9,000 varieties. Mainly living in dry, warm regions, the scorpion prefers to stay hidden in darkness to avoid the heat of day. They will also hide in dark places to sleep...like shoes.

Scorpions strike with their venomous tails to protect themselves or to kill prey. But, only a few like the Trinidad Scorpion and the African Gold Scorpion have stings deadly to humans.
