Kangaroo rat

The kangaroo rat is a desert rat that lives in its burrow during the day. It closes the entrance with dirt to block the heat and to recycle moisture from their breathing. The kangaroo rat comes out on  dark dry nights in the Australian deserts, looking for plants and fruit to eat.
These desert rodents actually make their own water from dry seeds within their own bodies.
