Beavers

Beavers live in dens made with mud and sticks that have entrances under water so nobody unwelcome can get in. Their dens are damp, but are warm even in winter because of their fur.

Predators have a hard time getting into the beavers' homes which they build at night.
Beavers  slap their tails long distances to signal others if there is danger.
