                                       a shutter release cable

Directions: Find a very dark place. Pick a solid background (like a tree, or a building) for the picture. Attach the shutter release cable and set the aperture wide open (the lowest number there is). Set up the camera on the tripod so you can see the background through the camera. It'll be dark, so do your best. Make sure the shutter speed is set to B and push the shutter release cable button and HOLD IT THE WHOLE TIME !!! If you let go, the picture won't work.Use the flash to flash all over the background...staying out of the way as much as you can.KEEP HOLDING THE SHUTTER RELEASE CABLE BUTTON. Cover the camera lens. Then have the person get in the picture and pose. Uncover the camera lens. Flash the person all over...staying out of the way. Then let go of the shutter release button. You should hear it click. If you're too far away from what you're shooting (taking a picture of), it won't work.
