Typhoons Title
Most of the typhoons come during the wet season. The most recent typhoon was on December 16, 1997. The typhoon's name was Typhoon Paka.  Paka broke the Guam record for wind speed.  The winds were 140 to 190 miles per hour.  The eye of the typhoon was over us for about 12 hours.  Paka was so strong they called it a super typhoon.  Paka tore down everything.  It pulled down coconut trees and telephone lines.  Most people were without power for 4 to 6 weeks.  Super Typhoon Paka left many people homeless. Typhoon Damage
