KoKo Title
Guam Rail Title
The Ko'ko bird, also known as the Guam Rail, is an endangered species of Guam.  This bird is colored  brown and white. This is a land bird; it does not fly.  The bird lays its Koko Birdeggs on the ground in slightly dug holes because it can not fly. The reason it is an endangered species is because the brown tree snakes hitchhiked a ride on a boat to Guam.  When the Brown tree snake got to Guam it devoured about every Ko'ko bird on Guam.  We thought that when the Brown tree snake got here they would get rid of the shrews ( little mice). But they didn't, and the shrews are still here, but the Ko'Ko bird is almost extinct.
