On Guam every
day we try to conserve water and electricity. Mainly water because
Guam has about 132,726 people on it. When we conserve water we help
everything. There are 22 villages that need fresh water so they can
carry on with every day life. There are only a few natural fresh water
lakes. The majority of the water comes from Fena Lake, a man-made
reservoir located on the Navy base. The military and the local community
work together to conserve water.
Guam has a very hot, tropical climate.
This hot climate helps the plants and animals on Guam. It is seen
all year long. Guam has many hurricanes also known
as typhoons. Typhoons occur all year because of how close Guam is
to the equator. Guam gets almost as much rain as the Amazon Rainforest!
