Moss is moist grass that is commonly found in or near lakes, rivers or streams.  They are are also found in humid climates like rainforests with lots of rain and sunshine.  They can be found deep in the Amazon because it adopts to moist and humid climates.  Moss lives in very humid and moist areas so it can live and shelter bugs and insects.
