Paper (blue, yellow, purple)
Black marker
2 small boxes
Thin cardboard
Rubber bands
Decorative pencil
Plan where hole in box will be, and tape piece of colored paper inside box opposite of hole.
Mark outside of box to remember where hole will be cut.
Cover outside of boxes using colored paper and tape - marking outside of box where hole will be cut.
Cut two strips of cardboard, each as wide as each box and 2" long.
Cut piece of colored paper slightly larger than cardboard and tape onto cardboard as shown.
Fold in half and cut notches along the fold.
Bend in the long edges and glue together to make a triangular shape as shown. If needed, use a rubber band to secure as it dries.
Glue bridge onto box.
Cut hole in box where you have marked it. You may need an adult to help you.
Wrap rubber bands around boxes
Use rubber bands that are the same size.
Place decorative pencil diagonally to change rubber band lengths.
