Tokai Maru Title
The Tokai Maru is a sunken Japanese ship that is near Apra Harbor.  During  World War II it was a freighter that carried passengers and cargo. On January 24, 1943, the Tokai Maru was anchored in the harbor.  The US Submarine Flying Fish watched it for threeTokai Maru Drawing days and then fired two torpedoes, one missed and one hit but it didn’t sink.

Seven months later a US Submarine Snapper was patrolling to the west of Guam and saw two ships. They didn’t know that these ships were the Tokai Maru and another damaged ship. The Snapper waited for a week and then made a sudden attack! Under the eyes of the Japanese, they fired four torpedoes and the Tokai sunk!
