Goatfish are ocean bottom dwellers.
They have a large pair of whiskers under its chin. The whiskers
are used to probe the ocean bottom to look for small animals to eat.
They mostly eat crabs, shrimp, and other fish. Sometimes goatfish
eat their food at night. The yellow striped goatfish is the most
common goatfish. And the dash-and-dot goatfish is the largest kind
of goatfish. Goatfish appear in large groups. Goatfish are
good to eat, and some are caught by a cast net, a scoop net, a drag net,
a gill net, a spear, or a hook and line. |
