1 The Registry Room The Registry Room was also know as the Great Hall. The immigrants were in the Registry Room until they were called to the exams. Picture 1 is of the (renovated) steps that the immigrants took to get to the Registry Room. Picture 2 through 7 are other views of the Registry Room. |

3. Through America's Gate and 4. Peak Immigration Years We are not exactly sure whether all of the following pictures are in these two exhibits. But we do know that Picture 1 is of Annie Moore, the first immigrant to pass through Ellis Island. Picture 2 and 3 show immigrants arriving on Ellis Island. Picture number 4 is of a ship's manifest, which listed all the passengers. Picture 5 is a view of the hospital buildings as seen through a window of the Registry Room. Picture 6 shows immigrants going through legal examination process.
