One Lucky
Day
by Sarah
Type of Poem: Free
Verse
Well, well, well.
Tapir has become
very swift.
Jaguar's fasting.
Pirhana isn't
hungry.
Python's eggs just
hatched.
The hatchlings are
doing well.
Macaw's flight is
so very graceful.
All are lucky.
This is my day to
fly.
Stretching my wings,
Are you watching,
Mother?
A show of flashing
red and blue and yellow,
Bulky, but then gliding
with the wind.
