Everyday, Humans destroy the rain forest. We cause animals to become extinct and endangered. We may be the reason a tribe of people go extinct. We are the cause of this. And are doing it by will! A rain forest is a thing of beauty, a supporter of so much life!
One
reason the rain forest is destroyed is because
of farming land. This land is not good for farming. Crops won't grow in
the soil of the rain forest. And when one tries to regroup the trees, they
won't grow. Why can't one farm somewhere else?
There is more. The plants of the rain forest are rarely noticed. Yet they are being destroyed, too. One silent tree. One tree that now seems to be part of the landscape. This tree, though it doesn't stand out, is important. It is home (and food) to the sloth. Frogs leap from leaf to leaf to leaf. Where do you think the birds call home? Where do you think the jaguar leaves its claw marks to show the boundary of its territory? Where do plants usually reign here? In a tree! And they are usually the victims!
Many people don't care about
the Earth. Many don't care about the animals. Or the plants. Or life. All
they care about is getting a good profit. They think Humans are the supreme,
and don't need any animal's help. So they destroy the rain forest. But
little do they know that they are destroying mankind, too.
Natives live in the rain forest. Every
time we destroy the rain forest, we know animals are harmed, that they
are forced to move into smaller areas and such, but what do the natives
do?
People will destroy the rain forest, searching for silver and gold. Loggers will also search there. I'm surprised about searching for silver and gold. Don't we have enough of that? And why ruin a section of the rain forest, just to get some rock, and then.. Oh. There isn't any gold. The most destruction is in Brazil, Indonesia, and Southeast Asia. There's also destruction in other parts of South America and Mexico.
