Destruction
Of The Rainforest
Every minute, 100 acres of the
rain forest are destroyed. This causes the animals and plants to become
extinct, destroying the treasure of the rain forest forever.
You pick up the ripe fruit with your hand. You are hungry. This fruit,
though small, will do.
A loud sound echoes
through the trees. You turn your head around.
You see a
large object coming towards you, and you notice a cleared path behind it.
You are scared.
You jump to the nearest branch and grab a limb.
The noise
of the creature echoes through your ears as you climb higher
and higher.
The object
won't stop.
You feel that
you are falling, and scramble higher and higher.
As you
grip the rough bark of the tree, you feel that you are falling down.. Down..
The tree snaps!
You close
your eyes.
Your sense of direction is spinning. The ground
is seeming more and more detailed. What's happening?
Then open
them a few seconds later. Dust is in the air. You scramble to the other
end of the tree..
All there
is left is a stump.
