Rainforest
Realm
Slow
Loris
Do you know any animals in the rainforest that are
mammals? The slow Loris is one of the most common animals in the rainforest.
So I would like to begin. Like I said a Loris is a mammal. They eat mostly
eggs and they grow up to 26-28 centimeters (about 11 inches) tall. They
live mostly in the dense part of the rainforest. A loris is a plump, short-limbed
animal.
There are two different lorises. One is the slow loris
an the other is the loris. The loris is skinnier than the slow loris,
however, they have the same habits. In the morning they sleep rolled in
a tight ball. At night, they eat insects in the trees, birds' eggs, small
birds, and fruits that don't come down to the ground much.
Even though the slow lorises are slow, they are accomplished climbers.
Their hand and feet are capable and strong enough to hold something tightly.
The thumb and big toe are opposite the other digits.
Do slow lorises get married and mate? Of course they do. Breeding takes
place any time of the year, and 1 young, some times 2 are born after a
gestation of 193 days. Most slow lorises are said to always live in a family
group.
