The floor holds small bits of life, here and there, topped with the life of maybe a duiker. Small animals such as

There are also tree ferns and small types of bushes. Twigs and dead leaves lie at the bottom, never to see the light of the sun from their branch again.
This is a tree root on the floor of the
rainforest in Costa Rica.
