Behavior: The Black-capped Chicadee is acrobatic. It hangs upside down from branches and moves quickly from one tree or shrub to another in its search of food. It may take a seed from your feeder, fly away to eat it elsewhere and then come back for more. It is a friendly, inquisitive bird, often seen in family groups. Song: chick-a-dee-dee-dee call or fee-bee-bee |
