Wisconsin
entered the United States as the 30th state on May 29, 1848. Wisconsin is named after the
name which is from the French version of an Ojibwa term that may mean "gathering of
the waters" or "place of the beaver." Wisconsins nickname is the
Badger State. Tourists spend almost 4 billion in Wisconsin. Most tourism is going fishing,
hunting, hiking, camping, swimming, and boating. Another tourist attraction is the Dells
of the Wisconsin River. Wisconsin has more than 50 state parks. Wisconsins capital
