Vtflag.gif (1279 bytes)  Vermont entered the Union on March 4, 1791.  It was the 14th state.  Its main industries are agriculture and tourism, especially its ski resorts.  Former U.S. presidents, Chester A. Arthur and Calvin Coolidge were born in Vermont.
