Penn.gif (393 bytes) Pennsylvania entered the Union on December 27, 1787.  It was the second state.   The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed in Philadelphia. Former president James Buchanan was born in Pennsylvania.

Develop a travel guide for visiting Pennsylvania.  What would you want visitors to see?  Make postcards of historical sites in Philadelphia.  Send them to another class.
