Ndflag.gif (1525 bytes)   North Dakota entered the United States as the 39th state on November 2nd, 1889.  Tourists spend $ 743 million each year in North Dakota.  A big tourist attraction in North Dakota is the Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  About 476,000 people visit there.  North Dakota has a total of 18 state parks.  The capital of North Dakota is Bismarck.
