"...the
Cheshire
Cat sitting on a bough of a tree a few yards off. The Cat only
grinned when it saw Alice. It looked good-natured, she thought: still
it had VERY long claws and
a great many teeth, so she felt it ought
to be treated with respect.
****************
"I wish you wouldn't keep appearing and
vanishing so suddenly: you make one quite giddy.
'All right', said the Cat: and this time it vanished
quite slowly, beginning with the end of its tail, and ending with
a grin, which remained for some time after the rest of it had gone.
'Well! I've often seen a cat without
a grin, thought Alice; but a grin without a Cat! It's the most curious
thing I ever saw in my life!"

| Millions
of Kids have braces on
their teeth. Do you have braces? Do you think you might need
them? There is a lot of information on this site to help you understand
different types of braces and appliances, to help you know what is going
to happen, and to help you cope with braces when you are home.
The American
Association of Orthodontists recommends that kids who have problems with
their bite should get checked by an orthodontist by age seven or eight.
Even though braces are only put on adult teeth, there are lots of new appliances
that can help change the way your teeth and mouth grow.
Even though
people usually think of braces on teenagers, most kids with braces are
between 9 and 14 years old. Our class is just starting to get braces.
Some kids think they're cool. Some don't. We designed this
site while we were in the 5th grade at ages 10 and 11.
Many orthodontists
and dental specialists gave us advice, pictures and answered a survey about
their life. The main thing we learned from making this website is
that orthodontists like kids.
| We
hope this website and the other orthodontic sites on our links page will
help you learn what you need to know when IT'S TIME FOR BRACES. |
