Make Your Own Volcano
Since the Crater of Diamonds State Park was formed by volcanic activity, we thought it would be fun to make our own volcano. Follow the steps below, and you can make one too!
1. Ingredients you will need: modeling clay, empty tin can, red food coloring, vinegar, and baking soda.
2. Put some thick paper or a tray on the table. Use the modeling clay to form a volcano around the tin can.
3. We colored our paper and added some figurines.
4. Fill the can about one half full of vinegar. Add a few drops of red food coloring. Add two spoonfuls of baking soda and watch your volcano erupt!
