Safety tips:
  • Don't give any kind of password to anyone, even your best friend.
  • Never tell someone your home address, telephone number, or school name without asking a parent.
  • Never say you will meet someone in person without asking a parent.
  • Always tell parents about threatening or bad language you see online.
  • Don't accept things from strangers (mail,files,URLs)

    Some fun things about Chat are:
  • You can meet new and interesting people.
  • You can talk to people on the other side of the earth.
  • You can learn about the place where people come from.
  • You can use different sounds and abbreviations (see below) in chat.

    *Java chat is a chat that you download from the internet. In that case you, you have to go on as a name that you choose, with no password. On AOL you have a screenname and a password.

    You can also have another chat called IRC which is a chat server.
