The United States saw its most deadliest hurricane ever in the year 1900 . The storm struck Galveston, Texas. Most of the buildings in that city were swept away from their foundation. Best records show between 8,000 and 12,000 people died in that deadly storm.
THE HYPERCANE IS A STORM THEORY. THE THEORY Was created by PROFESSOR KERRY EMMANUAL AT MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE TECHNOLOGY (MIT). HE SAYS HIS THEORY IS IF A METEOR EVEN HIT THE EARTH IN A TROPICAL PART OF AN OCEAN, AND IF THE TEMPERATURE REACHES UP TO 125 DEGREES (F). NOT ONLY WILL THERE BE GIANT, HUGE WAVES BUT A HYPERCANE MIGHT DEVELOP, WITH WINDS UP TO 500 MPH. BUT THE STORM WOULD BE ONLY BE I5 MILES ACROSS.

In 1992 a super typhoon named Gay, traveled thousands of miles across the Pacific ocean. This typhoon had winds of up to 225 miles per hour.
