CATEGORY ONE-Wind speeds of 75-95mph. There will be flooding of low lying areas, airborne debris and fallen trees. Homes that are not tied or anchored to the ground suffer the most damage, especially mobile homes. Fishing piers may also suffer severe damage.
CATEGORY TWO-Wind speeds of 96-110mph. There will be significant damage to mobile homes, vegetation and piers. There will be light amounts of damage to doors, roofing material and windows on building.
CATEGORY THREE-Wind speeds of 111-130 mph . Mobile homes will be destroyed. There will be some damage to homes and buildings. Further, coastal homes and buildings will be flooded.
CATEGORY FOUR-Wind speeds of 131-155mph. Homes and buildings will be severely damage or destroyed. Major flooding will occur along the coastline and inland.
CATEGORY FIVE-Winds will blow stronger than 155mph. Homes and buildings will be completely destroyed. Severe flooding will occur well inland.
