ABOUT THIS SITE

This site was a FINALIST in the first ThinkQuest Junior competition in 1998 - an internet competition for students.

The students who created this site were: Drew Ronkowitz, Ashley Martin-Caruso, Kimberly Kaplan, and Cooper Brooks. Their coaches were: Ken Ronkowitz and Jon Hay. The site is maintained and updated by Ken Ronkowitz.

Older kids can enter the regular ThinkQuest competition and win great $cholar$hip$! Find out about the entire ThinkQuest competition or see a great sample... a ThinkQuest first prize-winning site on MOVIES!

Here are some things we found useful in creating this site:

Arachnophilia   is a "careware" HTML editor that you can download free and learn a lot about HTML by using it.

Claris Home Page makes writing HTML easy and was what we had available to use, but you should still learn to actually write HTML or whatever programming language you prefer.

Promoting your site is important - one source we used was ADD ME.COM You can submit your site to search engines for free.

These books were good sources of information:

The Classic Book Of Baby Names by Vanessa Stephens, Promised Land Productions/Harper and Row, 1988

The Guinness Book of Names, by Leslie Dunkling, Facts on File / Guinness Publishing, 1995

The Book of Names, J.N. Hook, Franklin Watts, 1983
