My Grandfather's Story

How This Story
Changed Me

NOW IT'S YOUR TURN

Working on this project about World War II really changed me. It changed the way I feel about wars. It also influenced the way I feel about my grandfather. Now I know how he fought for our country. I am so glad my grandfather is alive today and is able to tell me about the war. It also affected my family. Now they know they have a hero in the family. This is what gives you that warm, snugly feeling inside. I like this.

Now I understand that the war is more than just one little fight. It has tons of big fights and it changes families in so many ways. If one family member dies in the war, it is very heartbreaking. It's not like you can go to the store and buy a family member. That is why so many people don't like war. I don't want to have a fight with another country. I have become more interested in wars then I was before. I like reading about World War II. Now when my grandfather wants to talk to me about World War II, I'll say, "I'm ready to learn, Grandpa!!!"
