Pegasus
Pegasus was created from Medusa's blood when her head was chopped off by Perseus. She originated in Greek mythology.She was a white horse with wings but without the horn of a unicorn. Pegasus was captured by Bellerophon who caught and tamed Pegasus. They destroyed the Chimera, a creature who was part lion, part goat and part snake.

Sphinx
The Greek Sphinx is not related to the Egyptian sphinx except that they both have the head of a human and the body of a beast. The Sphix was most famous for the riddle she asked everyone who passed her cliff."What goes on four legs, two legs and three legs but the more legs it goes on, the weaker it be?" Harpy
In Greek mythology the harpies were large birds with the heads of women. They steal food from tables and are said to have spread stench and filth In modern times a harpy is also a large, powerful eagle that lives in South America and the term harpy has come to mean a scolding, nagging woman.

Minotaur image

Minotaur
The Minotaur was a creature who was half human and half bull. He was the offspring of Pasiphae and a bull that Minos, the king of Crete, wouldn't sacrifice to Poseidon which made Poseidon angry and he, in turn, made Pasiphae fall in love with the bull. The Minotaur was kept in the labyrinth, a maze that nobody could escape and if they got near the Minotaur he would kill them. The labyrinth was made by Daedalus, the great inventor. The Minotaur was killed by Theseus with the help of Adriadne.
