Some Suggestions From Our Friends in Miss Southland's Second Grade Class in Williamston

Kids sometimes hate certain vegetables. Our friends, Ben and Sandra, came up with some interesting recipes to make vegetables that they hate taste better...

Ben, who hates squash, came up with this recipe that he thinks might help him to eat it:

  1. Add pickles, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, bread, mashed potatoes, cornbeef, butter, and potato skins.

  2. Put everything in a mixer and mix it all up for 1 hour.

  3. Put it in the microwave for 30 seconds.

  4. Serve in a bowl with steak on the side with salad and parsley. Also add extra pickles!

Sandra, who hates spinach, came up with this recipe that she thinks might help her to eat it:

  1. First, you put in 1 cup of water.

  2. Add 1 spoon of salt.

  3. Stir it and let it sit for awhile.

  4. Put in 5 teaspoons of sugar.

  5. After that, you put in 3 cups of ice cream.

How about some riddles?

Each riddle has three hints (all of the answers are at the end).

  1. It's square, there's hole in it, and it's crunchy.
  2. It's small, it's straight, and it's white.
  3. It has milk with it, it is blue, and you eat it.

Answers:

  1. A waffle.
  2. Rice.
  3. Boo-Berry cereal.

Thanks friends...
