Our Favorite Math Web Sites

Hi! My name is Jeb the Web Surfer, a medieval spider. I am going to show you which math web sites have the best math stuff on the Internet. The coolest sites get 5 web flies. Only 1 web fly is given to the not so interesting sites.

This is called "Interesting Math Web Sites". It links you to stuff about the history of math; the history of pi; and Math Counts. This gets 5 web flies because there are so many neat places to visit. The first site, "The History of Math", has won LOTS of awards.

This one is really cool! It gets 5 web flies because it has fun games! Check out Math Bingo in the games section.

This one is made by the US Department of Education for parents to help kids learn math by playing different games. The spider gives this web site 2 web flies because parents can't always be around to help kids with math. That’s what we try to do at Medieval Math.

This is the Math Counts web page. Math Counts is a competition for 7th and 8th graders. If you're in 7th or 8th grade it gets 4 web flies. If you're in 4th grade, like I am, it gets 2 web flies because it's for older kids.

This one is lessons and lectures for kids taking algebra or calculus. YIKES! You might want to check it out in 6 years, but NOT today!

This link was contributed by one of our visitors. It has cartoons about math! Some of the humor is above the 4th grade, level, but we love Calvin and Hobbes™ and Peanuts™!

This is Jeb saying fare thee well!
