I worry about your emphasis on "Democracy." The US is a republic. We have a democracy within the US, but it is the republic which makes us great. In a democracy, it is majority rules, and if that were the case, the US would be in big trouble. Thomas Jefferson even once said, "If I had the chance to live in purgatory or a democracy, I'd choose purgatory." Perhaps some further research is needed. =)

Your site looks great, but .... The Jefferson Memorial was not built in 1914 as the Lincoln Memorial was, it's building process began in 1938. I think it might be better to ACTUALLY RESEARCH your topic before putting down information.

I have been in D.C. about 15 years ago, and it's now the year 2000, I enjoyed the visit to the zoo, the monuments and the capital building. Didn't get to see the white house, couldn't find the road to it. The picture's were good, you need more, for anyone who can't get there and for us older folks, who want to see the things that our tax dollars have went for. Thank you for the guide.

It has been five months since our completion of our project. I just sat down and viewed the CD for Think Quest 99. I checked out our site again and read all of the guest book log. Many interesting comments inspiring me to maybe do TQ again. The process was very time consuming. I noticed that some of our graphics have been removed. I don't know why, this should not be. Also Lance's midi file for the star spangled banner was removed. Maybe it just won't download today. The strongest comment I felt about the project was the advanced of kids using technology to express themselves with a given topic. I know the kids that participated have skills that supercede many adults. It really helped the kids to think abstractly. I will encourage my staff to consider TQ or maybe "Our Town" project, which is another Internet web page project. Best Wishes over the Wires!

I thought this web-site really gives you a chance to learn some very interesting facts about the important issues, people, and events in our wonderful history. The things it talks about is the best part of all, you get to become interested in what you listen to. I think that they did a wonderful job!
