By Tim Hi, I am vice president of student council at J. E. Ober elementary School. Let me tell you the way democracy in our student government works. We hold our student council meetings twice a month. Here is the way our agenda works. The president calls the meeting to order. Then we say the pledge. After that we have our roll call from our secretary. We have reports from committees. After that we go to unfinished business, new business ,and old business. ,Here is a copy of a recent agenda.

We also have projects and decisions. Some are short term, and some are long term. We've had a program called "BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION,"sponsored by General Mills. We have made close to $900.00. We hope to do this project again next year.
