Tulip Poplar

The tulip poplar was selected as the state tree in 1947. The tulip poplaris a member of the magnolia family and can grow up to 190 ft. The tulippoplar is commercially used for plywood, furniture, boxes, and interiortrim. The flower is a source of nectar for honeybees.
